IDS has
been known for many years as a leading supplier of industrial equipment,
and over the course of the last ten years has rounded out and expanded
the current line of IDS Brand Freezers, suitable for a
variety of industrial, medical, scientific and commercial applications.
If you don't see the exact freezer you need, please let us
quote
you on a custom freezer built to your exact specifications in any
size, shape, temperature or color!
Notes about 230V:
IDS chest freezers are most often sold in the 115V cabinet, but are also
available in 230V, (shipped without a plug) however, if you
specify the NEMA number and shape for the plug, we can
install it before shipping.
All of our 230v freezers are a 2-wire
230v system with an earth ground.
All of the equipment on the freezer is 230v There is no neutral
line carrying a load. The earth ground is
only present to carry any small voltage leaks
that may be present to ground. The Hz applied to the freezer
will not affect the equipment on the unit.
All of our 230v freezers use the same
compressor running on 50hz or 60hz.
Estimated 80% or more are running on 60hz.
The only noticeable difference is in the RPM of
the compressor. Running on 60hz,
the compressor will run a slightly higher RPM,
resulting in a slightly higher capacity, as we see here in the US.
Other than that, the freezer will
see no difference between 50hz or 60hz power
supply. Our warranties do cover all of our freezers, connected to a
50hz or 60hz power source.
