  • In many instances the products being stored at this temperature can require paper or electronic data records for certification purposes. 
  • A 220V - 240V compressor is available for all sizes except the 21 cubic foot model. . Simply request this in the "Note To Seller" box at checkout. Specify 50hz or 60 hz. 60 hz is the US grid compatible version. 50hz common overseas.
  • 21 cubic foot freezer has available 200-240V 50 hz and 230V 60hz. Simply request this in the "Note To Seller" box at checkout. Specify 50hz or 60 hz​

Standard Controller 
On the Super Cold chest freezers, seen here, has optional USB ports and optional PC software available to keep a digital log of temperature. Please ask about this in your quote request!
  • Super Cold Chest Freezers are the ideal choice for a high volume storage application and are typically recommend to store premixed/frozen epoxies. 
  • Care should always be taken to consult MSDS sheets when using the Super or the Ultra Cold Cabinets.
    Note: Ultra cold temps are sometimes contra-indicated for use with many premixed and frozen two-part epoxies and storing product too cold can damage the product.
  • We suggest our LN2 back up system for high value or irreplaceable products. Even if your facility has a generator, product temperature could be lost by accidental damage to the freezer or even the door left ajar. 
  • The LN2 back up prevents against temperature loss as long as you have LN2, regardless of power. 
  • Make sure to include the auto-dialer alarm to alert staff to any problems right away.
  • In many instances the products being stored at this temperature can require paper or electronic data records for certification purposes.
  • IDS chest units are not UL listed at this time, but have passed UL field inspections. You will need to contact UL and ask them to inspect on site if you require a UL approval.

Remember: Do not run empty!

You should have something inside each compartment. Air alone does not retain enough cooling for the thermostat to properly sense the temperature.

You should also defrost at least once a year, or as needed depending on the moisture in the air and in the product being stored. These are manual defrost cold wall freezers.
