Upright Warranty
Most, but not all of our uprights offer this stated warranty. Unless Otherwise specified on the product information page, the following warranty applies to IDS upright models;
18 MONTH ORIGINAL PARTS WARRANTY:
INDUSTRIAL REFRIGERATION PRODUCTS COVERAGE: Manufacturer extends the following warranty to the original purchaser/user, which shall be deemed to mean the individual or company for whom the warranted product(s) was originally installed. It neither assumes, nor authorizes any person to assume, any obligation other than that covered by this warranty and applies within the continental boundaries of the United States of America, territories and Possessions, and Canada. Manufacturer warrants this product to be free from defects in material or workmanship under normal use and service. In the event of failure, the obligation of Manufacturer under this warranty shall be limited to repairing or replacing with a like part, at Manufacturer’s option, AT THEIR FACILITY, any original equipment part of the warranted original equipment product which proves defective, and which Manufacturer’s examination shall disclose to its satisfaction to be thus defective, and which cannot be placed back into operation in the field with normal service efforts. A replacement part installed as a result of this warranty is not subsequently covered by this warranty. Manufacturer reserves the right to require the return, collect freight, of any defective part. A Manufacturer provided authorization number is required before the return of any parts or equipment. Should purchaser elect to obtain a replacement for the defective part locally in lieu of purchasing the part directly from Manufacturer, Manufacturer’s financial obligation will be limited to reimbursement consistent with the original purchaser’s/user’s then current purchase price for the defective part acquired from Manufacturer. The warranty is in force for eighteen (18) months from date of installation, but not longer than twenty-four (24) months from Manufacturer invoice date. Any claim for defects occurring between eighteen (18) months and twenty-four (24) months from Manufacturer invoice date must furnish proof that installation date did occur within six (6) months of Manufacturer invoice date. WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS: This warranty does not apply to equipment which has been subject to removal from original installation site, dismantled and rebuilt, or subject to any accident, alterations by unauthorized service, negligence, abuse, misuse, or improper installation. This warranty does not include labor or mileage charges for replacement or repair of defective parts. This warranty does not include replacement of expendable items such as refrigerants, oils, filters or driers. |
FIVE YEAR ORIGINAL COMPRESSOR WARRANTY:
Manufacturer extends the following warranty to the original purchaser/user, which shall be deemed to mean the individual or company for whom the warranted product (s) was originally installed. It neither assumes, nor authorizes any person to assume, any obligation other than that covered by this warranty, and applies only within the continental boundaries of the United States of America, its territories and possessions, and Canada. Manufacturer warrants this product to be free from defects in material or workmanship under normal use and service. In the event of failure, the obligation of Manufacturer under this warranty shall be limited to repairing or replacing with a like compressor, at Manufacturer’s option, IN THEIR FACILITY, any original equipment compressor only from the warranted original equipment product which proves defective, and which Manufacturer’s examination shall disclose to its satisfaction to be thus defective, and which cannot be placed back into operation in the field with normal service efforts. A replacement compressor installed as a result of this warranty is not subsequently covered by this warranty. Manufacturer reserves the right to require the return, collect freight, of any defective part. A Manufacturer provided Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number is required before the return of any parts or equipment. Should purchaser elect to obtain a replacement for the defective compressor locally in lieu of purchasing the part directly from Manufacturer, Manufacturer's financial obligation will be limited to a reimbursement consistent with the purchaser's/user's then current purchase price for the defective compressor acquired from Manufacturer minus any applicable salvage value. The warranty is in force for five (5) years from date of installation, but not longer than five (5) years six (6) months from THE Manufacturer invoice date. Any claim for defects occurring between five (5) years and five (5) years six (6) months from Manufacturer invoice date must furnish proof that installation did occur within six (6) months of Manufacturer invoice date. WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS: This warranty does not apply to equipment which has been subject to removal from original installation site, dismantled and rebuilt, or subject to any accident, alterations by unauthorized service, negligence, abuse, misuse, or improper installation. Return Policy
All IDS Freezers are built for the order. They are not warehoused. These are considered "Non-Stock" items and we do our best to make sure the customer has decided on the product before we start the build. Returns are not common, and we suggest approaching the purchase of an IDS freezer with that in mind..
- Customers have 30 days from ship date to attempt to return certain products under the following provisions. There will be no exceptions:
- Products must be unused and returned in the original packaging within 30 days from ship date.
- No product is accepted without prior authorization. Any shipment that arrives at an IDS facility collect or without an RMA will be returned to the sender at their expense. CONTACT IDS TO REQUEST THE RETURN.
- A restocking fee of 25% will be assessed for all returns, or more than 25% based on the condition of the return. Customer will be notified before any credit is given and may elect to have items returned to the customer at his or her expense.
- No return will be accepted without an RMA number issued by IDS.
- Number must be displayed on the outside of the original box.
- Unless pre-arranged, all products will be returned to IDS.
- Any item or product being returned by a customer that is unusable because item or product fails to meet specifications or has a defect in manufacturing would be repaired or replaced under warranty for that product at the discretion of the manufacturer - not returned.
- Products must be undamaged and free of contamination and must be returned in the original packaging for any return consideration. Any product in improper packaging, used or is damaged in anyway will not be credited.
- IDS does not offer to indemnify the customer for any costs related to IDS equipment performance.
- All related shipping costs are paid for by the customer.
